Pair of 18th century bookplates from France. Estimating 1750s. Hand painted, the printed text shows through the transparent thin paper. One plant is a bulb variety, the other is a tuber. Soft yellows, fancy double sage green mat with dark forest green accents, soft gold frame from 1980s. They are gorgeous. 15” x 12” each- $100 for the set.
