Vintage pendant, sterling silver with Antique Roman fused glass, Dante's Inferno
Vintage pendant, sterling silver with Antique Roman fused glass, Dante's Inferno
Knock out vintage pendant, purchased originally at The Minneapolis Institute of Arts in the 1990s. Found at an estate sale on River Road in Minneapolis, it was sitting in the vintage MIA box (included in sale). The piece was made by an artist using ANCIENT Roman glass shards, which she fused to make stained glass see through 'windows' on the piece. She inscribed the perimeter with a quote from Dante’s inferno to double down on the fusing aspect. Solid silver, it also has a set amethyst stone if you needed more drama. It was originally a pin and I asked @saracommersprivatejeweler to alter it to a pendant. It has Macbeth witches vibes, intelligentsia aka Dan Brown conspiracy feels, a giant stunner to pair with a simple dress when you stay at Hotel Positano and head to dinner. And you should read Dante’s inferno so you can discuss the book and the treasure on your neck. (Chain not included) Pendant only
